Heroes: Kelsey O'Brien was dominant on the offensive end with the help of Danielle Doherty and also won the majority of her faceoffs in the middle.

"We were definitely clicking out there. Today we were focused on working the ball around on offense and getting the goals up," O'Brien said. "We have a big game coming up next week against Farmingdale, so we wanted to put what we were working on today into the next game."

Turning Point: When Massapequa trailed 2-1 early in the first half, they went on to score eight straight goals to close out the half and 14 unanswered goals overall before Calhoun scored again.

Quotable: "It took us a little bit to get situated, but once we got going then we were fine. The offense was flowing and the defense along with Christina [Fiorinelli] had another phenomenal game," Massapequa head coach Megan Zimmer said. "Our last game is against Farmingdale, which is always tough, so we will have three solid days of practice and hopefully come out with our best."

“Massapequa is a skilled team and they were able to capitalize on our mistakes and having the majority of the possession,” Calhoun head coach James Raucci said. “O’Sullivan played hard out there and wants to stay involved, so that was one bright spot for us.”

Bottom Line: Massapequa is rolling on all cylinders, and despite a tough loss against Wantagh, they have been dominant since the early parts of the season. With an important game awaiting with Farmingdale, goalie Christina Fiorinelli will be looked at to have another big game as she did against Cold Spring Harbor where she totaled 18 saves.

Key Stat: Massapequa scored 14 consecutive goals between the first and second half to pull away for the win.
