Massapequa High School Announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian
The two students were recognized for the outstanding academic achievements.

Massapequa School District announced the selection of the top two students in the graduating class of 2017.
Daniel Urli has been named the valedictorian at Massapequa High School for achieving the highest grade point average.
Urli has taken 14 Advanced Placement courses, is treasurer of Students Against Destructive Decisions, plays varsity soccer and is a member of the National and Spanish honor societies.

He plans to study engineering.
Christopher Hadsall was named the salutatorian.

Hadsall is president of the Class of 2017, captain of the cross-country and track and field teams, a member of the band, and has been selected to the National and Tri-M honor societies.
He has taken 11 AP courses and plans to pursue political science in college.
