Massapequa Names New Administrator For Lockhart

Laura Hulsaver brings a wealth of teaching experience from New York City with her.

The Massapequa School District announced that Laura Hulsaver will be the new assistant principal of Lockhart Elementary School.

Hulsaver comes to Massapequa from the New York City Department of Education, where she was an elementary classroom teacher at P.S. 239 from 2006 to 2015 and a math instructional coach at P.S. 13 for the past three years. In her most recent position, she was responsible for providing professional development to
teachers, including on any initiatives implemented by the Department of Education or the school. She also provided workshops for parents so they could support their children at home, collected and analyzed schoolwide data, and ensured the proper implementation of Response to Intervention services.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University, a master’s degree in childhood education from Adelphi University and a school building and school district leadership certificate from the College of Saint Rose.
