Check out what you need to know before heading to the Massapequa Park memorial day parade this holiday weekend.
This weekend is Memorial Day weekend -- the unofficial start of summer. That means there will be barbecues, parties and of course, parades.
In Massapequa Park, the annual parade will be once again be held this weekend. The annual event will be hosted by the Massapequa American Legion Post. In addition, refreshments will served by the American Legion after the parade.

Starting point: The parade will begin on Front Street.
Parade route: The parade will travel north on Park Boulevard and then west on Clark Boulevard.
Ending point: The parade will end at Klestinec Park.
Cost: Free
Weather: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon.
