“The positive impact that Joseph Basile had on the Massapequa community is enormous,” said TOBAY Supervisor John Venditto. “He voluntarily gave so much of his time to many worthwhile causes. The Massapequa area is a better place because of Joseph Basile.”
Joseph was a Massapequa resident for more than 40 years and served as Massapequa Chamber of Commerce president, principal trustee of the Sons of Italy, and vice president of Our Lady of Lourdes CYO.

“Joseph Basile was a loyal and dedicated member of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce for over a decade; contributing to its success and stability for future generations of Massapequans,” said Sue Martin, president of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce. “He contributed tirelessly so that our Chamber and this community that he loved, would be second to none.”
Joseph also helped champion and finance a gazebo in Klestinec Park.
“His efforts to bring the beautiful gazebo to the park, makes it a fitting setting to honor him,” said Venditto. “Those who knew him and worked with him have the highest praise for his efforts in helping the community.”
