Massapequa Students Donate Hundreds Of Books
The students spent a month collecting books for the Helping Hands Club.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - From Massapequa School District: The Helping Hands Club at Massapequa High School’s Ames Campus hosted a monthlong collection drive for The Book Fairies. A large bin was setup in front of the library and ninth-graders donated more than 500 new and gently used books for the nonprofit organization, which distributes reading material to people in need through metropolitan New York. Helping Hands members, under the direction of advisers Alyssa Levine and Karen Matros, then sorted the books by age group, from preschool through adult.
