Massapequa Takes Action Coalition Meeting November 10th 7pm Massapequa High School, Little Theater

BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY SOLUTION

The Massapequa Takes Action (MTA) Coalition next meeting is on Tuesday, November 10th at 7pm at Massapequa High School in the Little Theater.

The Coalition is in the process of finding out what the concerns are in our community regarding drug use and other high risk behaviors. The Coalition is bringing community members together to assess, build capacity, plan and implement services that can truly prevent our young people from becoming involved in high risk behaviors.

In response to the growing number of tragedies that have affected our community, the Massapequa Takes Action (MTA) Coalition, in partnership with YES Community Counseling Center applied for and was awarded one of ten grants from the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services to help prevent heroin use, prescription drug abuse and heroin overdose among adolescents and young adults and increase awareness about the dangers of drugs.
