Massapequa Takes Action Featured on The Donna Drake TV Show
MTAC was featured on a nationally syndicated television show and discussed its opioid prevention outreach & Secure Monitor Dispose Campaign.
Massapequa Takes Action Coalition (MTAC) was recently featured on a syndicated television show titled, The Donna Drake Show! The Donna Drake Show focuses on topics of motivation and inspiration, providing insight and good news stories. MTAC’s Project Director, Cathy Samuels and Mark Wenzel, MTAC Co-Chair and Assistant Director, YES Community Counseling Center, were interviewed in front of a live studio audience.
The discussion and interview was lead by host Donna Drake and topics included how MTAC began in the Massapequa community, substance abuse and prevention tips, how MTAC is working with students and parents at an early age, and how the coalition is making an impact and a difference in the lives of our young people in Massapequa.
The Donna Drake Show provides empowering tips and solutions and both Cathy and Mark provided many suggestions and recommendations on how people can get involved with MTAC, support MTAC’s mission and make a difference in the community to prevent prescription misuse, underage drinking and marijuana use.

MTAC is recognized as one of our nation’s leaders in mobilizing communities to prevent youth substance use and was awarded the prestigious Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program Grant by the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) in the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
