Massapequa Vet Gives Paralyzed Kitten Second Chance

Watch of video of the kitten running around in his make-shift wheelchair.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - An adorable kitten who was recently found on the streets got a second chance, thanks to a local Masspequa veterinarian.

The kitten, Mac, was brought to Pet Vet last week by a local good samaritan who found him abandoned by his mother and unable to walk.

According to a post on the vet's Facebook page, Mac had feeling in his "hind end" which is a good sign. They are hoping to rehabilitate and treat him before eventually finding him a good home.

So far, the local technicians made him a make-shift wheelchair by finding some old toys which allows him to walk around and even run.

"We love this little guy and can't wait to see what the future holds for him," the post reads.

A video of Mac on his wheelchair was posted on YouTube on Saturday.

On Monday, the hospital created a PayPal account in Mac's honor in order to receive donations. The money made through the account will go towards Mac's care and possibly buying him a new "set of wheels."
