Massapequa Woman Caught With Codeine, Fake License: Police
After a traffic stop, troopers found cause to search the vehicle and its occupants.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A Long Island woman was arrested after a traffic stop early Friday morning for allegedly having an illegal controlled substance — as well as a fake ID — in her possession. State police charged Ellicia R. Correia, 20, of Massapequa, with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree possession of a forged instrument, both felonies.
Troopers said they stopped a car on I-87 in the Town of Woodbury, Orange County, for a vehicle and traffic violation around 2:32 a.m. Friday.
During the interview of the vehicle's driver, probable cause to search the car and its occupants was established, authorities said.
