Motus Global Ranks Among Fast Company's 2016 Most Innovative Companies

MASSAPEQUA, NY - Motus Global, a Massapequa-based sports company, recently earned a spot on the business magazine Fast Company’s list of the world’s 50 Most Innovative Companies for 2016.

Motus Global earned a spot on the Most Innovative Companies in Sports list, recognized for the mThrow product.

The list honoring leading enterprises and rising newcomers that exemplify the best in nimble business and impactful innovation.

The company ranked number five on the list in the Sports sector among Hudl, MLB Advanced Media, Strivr Labs, Quanterix, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Zebra Technologies, Athos, Tap.In2, and Wilson Sporting Goods.

With the launch of three new wearable technologies in the baseball field, Motus is the first-ever company to bring biomechanics and data analysis to the field through wearable sensors.

To produce the 2016 list, the magazine’s editors spent a full year gathering and analyzing data on companies around the globe.

For the first time, Fast Company enlisted machine intelligence to help inform the list: Quid, a San Francisco-based startup, used its software to create topographical maps of innovation across more than 40 sectors of the economy.
