Naked Man Who Approached Woman at Nassau Preserve Arrested: Police

A 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged with public lewdness after an incident in which he was naked and approached a woman at the Massapequa Preserve, police said.

Andrew Parrucci, of Amityville, was arrested late Friday night. According to police, a 39-year-old woman was at the preserve, west of Lake Shore Drive just north of Jerusalem Avenue, at about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday when Parrucci "aggressively walked" toward the woman without any clothing on, causing the woman to become alarmed.

When another woman on a bicycle approached Parrucci, he ran into a wooded area and disappeared into the heavy brush, police said.

An investigation led to the arrest of Parrucci at his home at 11:45 p.m. Friday. He is charged with one count of public lewdness and will be arraigned on Saturday.
