Nassau Man Drove Drunk With Loaded Gun In Car: Police

Police say officers on routine patrol saw him driving erratically, and then found a loaded gun in his car.

A Levittown man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police say he was pulled over for driving drunk and officers found a loaded gun in his car.

According to police, officers were on routine patrol at 2:45 a.m. when they saw a 2002 Ford Explorer driving east on Sunrise Highway, near Park Boulevard, and failing to stay in its lane. The officers pulled the car over and investigated. Police say that the driver, William Curtin, 30, of Circle Lane, Levittown, was unsteady on his feet. The officers conducted a sobriety test, and police say it showed he was driving drunk.

During a search of his car, police say they recovered a loaded 9mm Glock pistol.
