Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of March 30 to April 6.

Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Massapequa area over the past week as reported by police:

  • Mar. 24: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole his backpack with Beats headphone and laptop inside on Stewart Avenue in Bethpage.
  • Mar. 28: Rebecca Ryan, 20, of South Farmingdale and Genise Nesbitt, 26, of Wyandanch were arrested for shoplifting from Walgreens on Main Street in South Farmingdale.
  • Mar. 30: Tyler Salvo, 18, of Seaford was arrested for shoplifting from Shop Rite on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.
  • Mar. 30: A woman reported that someone cute her cablevision service cable that was attached to the west side of her house on Rose Street in Massapequa.
  • Apr. 1: A man reported that someone keyed his car on Seitz Drive in Bethpage.
  • Apr. 1: Brian Beissel, 29, of Bethpage was arrested on a DWI charge at the 7 Eleven on Merritts Road in Farmingdale.
  • Apr. 2: A man reported that someone burnt a hold in his fence on Orchard Street in Massapequa.
  • Apr. 2: A man reported that someone keyed his car while it was parked on Miller Place in Syosset.
  • Apr. 2: A man reported that someone shattered the back window of his car at the Dollar Tree on Carmans Road in Massapequa.
  • Apr. 3: A woman reported that someone entered her car and stole her Michael Kors handbag with contents on Massapequa Avenue in Massapequa.
  • Apr. 3: Jonathan Santo, 26, of Massapequa was arrested for shoplifting from King Kullen on New Hyde Park Road in Franklin Square.
  • Apr. 5: Dominique Horne, 32, of Hempstead was arrested for shoplifting from Macys at the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
  • Apr. 5: Christopher Wright, 30, of Hempstead was arrested for shoplifting from Macys at the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
  • Apr. 5: A woman reported that someone entered her car and stole her wallet at the Friendship Connection Preschool on Jamaica Avenue in Plainview.
  • Apr. 5: A woman reported that someone stole her pocketbook with contents from the shopping cart while at the Fairway Supermarket at the Manetto Hill Plaza in Plainview.
