National Expert To Address Marijuana Legalization
Prevention education program highlights impacts marijuana legalization is having on public health and safety in Colorado and other states.

Massapequa Takes Action Coalition (MTAC) invites all parents, youth and residents to attend its engaging prevention education program, Marijuana Legalization: Lessons Learned from Colorado, on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Massapequa High School Auditorium. The presentation will highlight the evolving impacts marijuana legalization is having on public health and safety in Colorado and other states.
MTAC’s featured speaker, Dale Quigley, is Deputy Coordinator of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program’s (HIDTA) National Marijuana Initiative (thenmi.org). The National Marijuana Initiative is one of three national initiatives within the federal HIDTA program that the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy has established to respond to both regional and national drug threats. Mr. Quigley is responsible for providing information and education on issues surrounding marijuana. A peace officer in Colorado since 1979, Dale Quigley has an extensive background in narcotics investigations, supervising drug units and has served at the Rocky Mountain HIDTA in Denver from 2011 to 2016.
