New Imbert Cancer Center to Hold Open House Events

Northwell Health will open a 45,000-square-foot cancer center at the end of October, and with it access to new therapies and top physicians for Suffolk County residents. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer or you’d like to learn more about cancer prevention topics, visit the Imbert Cancer Center in Bay Shore during three open house events the first week of November.

Experts from the Imbert Cancer Center will be available on Nov. 1 and Nov. 3 from
6-8 p.m., and Nov. 5 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at free open house events for the community. Activities include:

• Guided tours of the cancer center and adjoining imaging facility
• Learn more about the range of cancer services, including state-of-the-art technologies and leading-edge therapies
• Educational sessions on nutrition and cancer
• Learn about community resources from the American Cancer Society
• Meet a pet therapy dog
• Healthy snack and giveaways

The Imbert Cancer Center, offers integrated and coordinated cancer care services so patients can access top-notch care in their own community. Anchoring Northwell Health’s cancer services in Suffolk County, the new center gives cancer patients access to renowned physicians in surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging under one roof.

The Imbert Cancer Center is part of Northwell’s Health’s Cancer Institute in Lake Success. It gives patients greater access to care, with more than 200 cancer specialists in more than 25 different specialties, the most advanced cancer treatments and extensive clinical trials.

Specifically designed with the needs of patients and their families in mind, the new facility is architecturally-inspired by the seaside community and builds on cancer services Northwell has provided in the Great South Bay area for years.
