Obituary: Charles J. Martin, of Massapequa Park, Dies at 86

Died: July 28, 2016

Visitation: Friday, July 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Massapequa Funeral Home, North Chapel on 1050 Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park.

Service: Saturday, July 30 starting at 10:15 a.m. at the St. William the Abbot R.C. Church on 2000 Jackson Avenue in Seaford.

Obituary: Charles J. Martin, of Massapequa Park, passed away on Thursday, July 28. He was 86.

Martin worked for over 40 years at N.Y. Telco. He was also a handyman extraordinaire. He never met a car he didn't like.

He was predeceased by his former wife, Mary, and by his sister Ellie.

Martin is survived by six children: Lorraine Berger (Clyde), James (Susan), Margaret, Bernadette Clark (Ed), Mary, Joan Olsen (Michael Babcock); eight grandchildren: Brian Berger (Amy), Madeline Baldwin (Brian), Juliann and Lauren Martin, Kaitlyn Matatia (Steve), Patricia Clark, Douglas and Victoria Olsen; one great-granddaughter, Sadie Mae Baldwin; and longtime close friend Joan Myers.

Internment will take place at the Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
