MASSAPEQUA, NY — A fire took place early Monday in Massapequa.

Police responded to a building fire at Purity Plus Laundry on Merrick Road. Smoke and flames could be seen from the roof.

It happened just after 1:30 a.m.

Two male workers were in the laundromat at the time of the blaze, authorities said.

The workers safely evacuated and the Massapequa Fire Department extinguished the flames.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal's office is investigating.

No one was injured.
