Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Car In Massapequa
Police say the man was trying to cross Broadway when he was struck. The investigation is ongoing.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — A 55-year-old man was killed after being hit by a car while crossing Broadway in Massapequa Thursday evening.
According to police, the man was crossing from the west side of Broadway, near the intersection of Grand Avenue, at 5:48 p.m. when he was hit by a 2020 black Honda CRV heading north on the road.
The man was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m. Police have not yet identified him.

The driver, a 55-year-old woman, stayed at the scene, and police conducted a brake and safety check on her car. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
