Police Blotter: Teen Arrested in Mall Robbery

Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.

Robbery

On Oct. 14, A security guard at JC Penny at the Sunrise Mall spotted a teen concealing two boxes of earings, cops said. The guard confronted Jesse M Frierson, 17, of  Amityville, who allegedly ran off. WHen the guard caught up with Frierson, the teen bit him, police said. Frierson was charged with robbery 2nd.

Burglary

On Oct. 13, somebody broke in through the window of a house on Plymouth Drive and stole copper piping. The burglary occurred around noon.

Auto Theft

On Oct. 15 a 2002 Ford Explorer was stolen on Oakley Avenue in Massapequa. The vehicle was later recovered, police said.

DWI

On Oct. 14, Peter R Stergakos, 30, of Massapequa was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Morris Gate, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On Oct. 15, Daniel P Wermelinger, 28, of Massapequa, was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Grove Street, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Theft of Services

On Oct. 17,  a Massapequa  man was arrested on Park Boulevard, Massapequa Park and charged with theft of services.

Petty Larceny

On Oct.15,  a North Babylon woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct.15, an Amityville man was arrested at TJ Maxx, 5500 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct. 15, a Middle Island woman was arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct.16, Sandro G Palio, 39, of Amityville was arrested at Sears, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny and endangering the welfare of a child.

On Oct. 16, a Bayshore woman was arrested at JC Penny, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct. 17, a Queens woman was arrested at TJ Maxx, 5500 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct. 17, a  Bellmore was arrested at Wal-Mart, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
