Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. A Hempstead man who forced his way into a Massapequa home last year and robbed two people inside was arrested on Tuesday, police said. Darrin Sims, 28, is charged with first degree burglary and two counts of robbery, Nassau Police said. According to police, Sims knocked on the door of a Clocks Boulevard residence at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2014. When the 29-year-old male homeowner opened the door, Sims grabbed the man's hand and forced his way inside, police said. Sims demanded money and the homeowner along with another relative complied, police said.Sims then fled the scene in a car with an undetermined amount of cash, two cellphones and a set of headphones, police said. Sims was arrested Tuesday night after he responded to the Glen Cove Police Department regarding a separate incident, police said. He will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
