Smoothie King Plans To Open New Long Island Location

Smoothie King, the international chain of smoothie restaurants, is planning to establish a second Long Island location, according to reports.

Newsday reported that Smoothie King franchisee AB Smoothies LLC is planning to open a second location, this time in Massapequa Park. The only other Smoothie King on Long Island is located in Carle Place.

Smoothie King's menu focuses on healthy smoothies, sometimes infused with ingredients to help promote fitness, weight loss and more. All of the chain's food is healthy snacks.

Andrew Weinstein, the co-owner of the franchise, told Newsday that the Massapequa Park location was planned to open in August. The franchise hopes to open five more Long Island locations in the next five years, he told Newsday.
