We finally made it! Spring has arrived and I could not think of a better time of year to adopt a new pet. There are few things more rewarding than spending outdoor time with a pooch, or opening a window (screen down of course) and feeling the new crisp breeze nuzzled up next to a kitty.
And as luck has it, this week there are many great animals available for adoption at Last Hope Animal Rescue in Wantagh. Please allow me to introduce you to three of them... Liz, Rocky and Milo.
Liz (pictured) is the blonde/black mask German Shepherd bombshell who comes to Last Hope from a Virginia shelter. She’s about 5-6 years old and weighs just about 65 pounds. Liz was recently surrendered by her elderly owners who could no longer care for her. Liz is great walking on a leash and very much enjoys other dogs that pass her by. Liz is now on the search for a kind Shepherd-loving soul who will cherish her forever.
Rocky (pictured) is this very handsome 8 year old chow who was adopted from the shelter a few years ago, never dreaming he’d be homeless again... poor little guy found himself back after his beloved owner recently passed away. Since then, Rocky has become a favorite at the shelter. He loves to be with people and just hang out, and would do best in a home without other dogs or cats. Rocky can't wait to meet you and he's ready to go home with you today! Milo (pictured) came to Last Hope from a rescue in West Virginia.
Milo is an adorable Basset/Beagle, about 2 years old who just loves being with kids. He is happy and exuberant and would love to be in a loving home where his owner will continue his training and education to help turn him into a model canine citizen.
Milo, Liz and Rocky would love to meet you today! Please visit Last Hope to meet these and all the wonderful animals available for adoption. You can also find more information along with pet profiles, pictures, pets of the month and donation information on their website at http://lasthopeanimalrescue.org
Thank you for reading and please remember to never shop- always adopt!!
