Summer Gets Extended At TOBAY Beach
The Massapequa beach will stay open for two extra weekends after Labor Day.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Labor Day is recognized as the unofficial end of summer, but the Town of Oyster Bay isn't ready to move on to autumn.
TOBAY Beach will have extended hours in September.
Beachgoers will have four more chances to enjoy the sun and sand — Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9-10, and Sept. 16-17.

TOBAY will be open free of charge with lifeguards on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"We invite all our residents and their families to come out and enjoy this beautiful facility, take in some nice weather and savor the last of the summer season," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.

Additionally, families visiting the beach on Sept. 10 can take part in the Waterfront Festival at TOBAY Marina.
The free event includes a free concert, along with marine exhibits and food concessions.
