Thank You To Boy Scout Troop 776

Scouts Make Our Corner Beautiful

Boy Scout Troop 776 transformed our corner of Cedar Drive and Nassau Road into a beautiful garden across the street from my house and we wanted to thank them for their service to the community. Instead of the weeds and the fallen branches, we now have a beautiful corner in full bloom for everyone to see. This is a very busy corner as residents come down Unqua Rd. and turn on Cedar to go around the golf course. Hundreds of residents will now pass the beautiful display of flowers every day and the community will really enjoy all the efforts and good deeds of the scouts from Troop 776 from the Presbyterian Community Church, at 150 Pittsburg Ave. Our best wishes to the parents and leaders of these scouts who show us how to make our community beautiful. It took two days of hard work. On the first day, the heavy lifting was done removing all the branches and weeds as well as turning the soil. On the second day, the planting was done with plants in full bloom. The ground was covered with mulch to keep the weeds down for the rest of the year. It is certainly a metaphor for how a few people can change the world around them and make it beautiful. Thank you.
