This Weeks Pet Adoptions and Laughing for A Great Cause

What an exciting time to adopt a pet from our local shelters.   There are so many wonderful cats and dogs just waiting to meet you this week, and its my pleasure to indroduce you to 7 of them.

In addition, I'm very excited to announce that the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter is working with a new professional photographer, Lisa Viox, and her wonderful photos will now be portrayed on both the Patch and the Town's website.  More information on Lisa can be found at http://www.lisavioxphotography.com/.

And now without further adieu... Available at the Town of Hempstead is this handsome boy named Tbone (pictured).  TBone is a Terrier, American Staffordshire/Mix, just under 3 years old with a big personality who was brought to the shelter in May 2013. Tbone adores activities, new friends and toys- making Tbone a great exercise companion and the perfect mush afterwards.  Tbone would thrive with adults willing to keep him on a daily routine. Tbone is truly a man for all seasons and would love to be your new best bud.

And these next three 16 year old cats, Honey, Ron and Baby (pictured) all came to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter together when their owner recently passed away.  They are truly wonderful cats who would love nothing more than to find one last forever home.   Please don't let their age fool you.  I can't speak enough about the benefits of having a senior pet...  for one, they are definitely more calm and relaxed then a kitten, and make great companions for their human senior counterparts.  For more information on Tbone, Honey, Ron and Baby, please check out the TOH's website at http://www.toh.li/animal-shelter

And right next door at Last Hope Animal Rescue is this little character, Gavin (pictured).  Gavin is very friendly young guy that would love to make your acquaintance. Gavin arrived at Last Hope because he was found by a concerned person after sustaining multiple injuries to his leg, face, and ear. Nevertheless, thanks to his rescuer/guardian angel, Gavin is all healed and is now ready for you to adopt him!  So, stop by when you have a chance and see if you are the one that will give his story a happy ending.

These next two pooches come all the way from Kentucky farm life.  Please allow me to introduce you to Daisy and Coco (pictured together).  Daisy and Coco are petite Beagle/Bassets estimated to be between 5 to 7 years old. These two are very laid back and so loving…wanting nothing more but to bury their head in your lap for petting. Daisy and Coco would love to be the next members of your family.  For more information on Gavin, Coco and Daisy, check out Last Hope's website at http://lasthopeanimalrescue.org.
