My unexpected ride not in a chariot but EMS vehicle definitely belongs to the lesson category. My way of life has changed drastically and reaffirmed the need for caution if life is to continue, I have been given firm instructions about the need for discipline if I am to continue. I did not seek this admonition, but absolutely believe it falls into the category of answered prayers.
The incident also gave me a clarity of view about one of life’s losses. I was forced to accept the harsh reality of love lost and not to be regained, It is a scar that will not heal. One I will carry with me when that inevitable moment of adieu arrives,

On this bleak January morning while I gaze out again at the the brewing storm, I give thanks for the lessons, the gift of friendship and most of all the time I was given during the Year of our Lord, 2023.
M prayer is that I remember to use it well.
