But they all seemingly not only know and admire me since
One and all address me as “Dear Anne,”
And most importantly, approve, which is also quite unusual.
A select few even profess to love me.
It is quite exciting at this end of my wonderful road to be so admired and contacted by such a diverse group of new accquaintances.
Yet I do wonder (to borrow a songwriter’s lyrics) will they all “Love Me Tomorrow?”
Will the procession of emails that escalates daily suddenly disappear like a chance romantic encounter I vaguely remember from youth?
Having lived for more years than I will share, it is interesting to suddenly have been discovered and by so many.
And at the risk of being cynical, I sincerely doubt that my attraction will remain static after the frenzy of holiday shopping and certainly not after the current political arena is clarified,
However, I must admit that for the first time in memory, it has been rather fun to be so very very very popular.
Time will tell.
