Tina DiMartino on Roster for World Cup Qualifier
Massapequa native will be on Team USA when they face Italy.

Former Massapequa High School soccer star will be on the roster for team USA when they play a crucial Women's World Cup qualifying series against Italy.
DiMartino, 24, who was a two time Nassau County player of the year and helped the Chiefs to four state championship games, was added to the squad over the weekend.
The U.S. and Italy will play two games to determine who will be the final team chosen for next year's World Cup, which will be held in Germany. They will meet in Padova Italy on Saturday and play again a week later in Bridgeview, Ill. The winner will be determined by aggregate goals.

DiMartino was not on the US team when they were upset by Mexico in a regional qualifying tournament.
She played professional soccer this season with the Philadelphia Independence, scoring four goals, and was also a college standout at UCLA.
