Town Of Oyster Bay To Host Annual 9/11 Memorial

The Sept. 7 event takes place at TOBAY Beach.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay will host its annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony.

It takes place at 7 p.m., Sept. 7 at TOBAY Beach.

The memorial features a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center and is inscribed with the names of the residents who were killed on Sept. 11, 2001.

The Walls of Honor monument expands each year with newly inscribed names of those who lost their battle with 9/11 illness caused by exposure at Ground Zero.

The solemn event features music, religious readings, a light tribute and a reading of the victims.
