
When I relocated six years ago, I did not pack everything, I left behind part of my heart wrapped in nostalgia, and tied with a thin ribbon of regret for the losses I also carefully wrapped,
I chose to pretend I had moved on but of course,that was not completely true. In a new residence, complete with not only my needs, but unanticipated additional comforts, I maintained the aura of a visitor, neglecting to acknowledge the amazing gift I had been given.
It was another adventure in life not expected or anticipated, but it has taken me a long time to completely unwrap it and give thanks,

I discovered that this past weekend when I strolled through a Creative Exhibit in our residence. The display was the inspiration of our amazing staff and the first of its kind. I walked the corridor in awe of the talent of the many residents whose name I recognize as neighbors.
The exhibit includes 40 odd contributions, all amazing varieties of quite diverse and unrecognized talent until this winter’s weekend.

Before ending my walk along the length of the corridor, I understood how blessed I am to have the opportunity to share these years with so many gifted pilgrims.
