Woman Pushed To Ground During Massapequa Home Invasion

The 58-year-old was at home when she heard a man break into her home on Thursday afternoon.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - A Massapequa woman was pushed to the ground by a home invader Thursday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.

According to detectives, a 58-year-old woman heard noises and footsteps upstairs while she was in the basement of her Hicksville Road home at about 1:20 p.m.

Upon returning to the main floor of the home, she noticed a man walk past the basement door.

The woman screamed and the man ran out of the house through a rear sliding glass door followed thereafter by the woman.

Upon exiting the door, the woman was suddenly pushed to the ground by the man who then fled through a side gate.

No injuries were reported and no items were stolen during the burglary.

The woman described the burglar as being in his 20s, 6-foot tall with a muscular build and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The man is believed to have entered the residence by ripping the screen of an open window in the rear of the home.
