Wonderful Cats and Dogs Available for Adoption This Week

We all know that our local shelters always have many wonderful animals available for adoption and this week is no exception.  Check out these great cats and dogs who would love to go home with you today!

Available at Last Hope Animal Rescue in Wantagh are two of the cutest Min Pins that I've ever seen, Sherry and her brother Dalen (both pictured).  These young Miniature Pinscher mixes are about 1 year old weighing about 12 pounds..  They were rescued from a puppy mill situation and taken to a Kentucky Shelter when they soon found their way into the loving arms of the Last Hope volunteers.  The only thing that's left for them to do is to find their forever homes.   While pictured together, it is recommended that Sherry and Dalen be adopted separately, so why not check them out at Last Hope today!

And I suppose this next little lady was trying to get her hands on the new addition of the Patch when she was rescued in Massapequa and brought to Last Hope.  Ivy (pictured) is a very unique calico beauty with her awesome fur and different color eyes!  She has one blue eye and one green eye, which doesn’t show too much in the picture, so you will have to head down to Last Hope to see for yourself.  Ivy is about 3 years old and is described as a sweet and gentle girl that loves to sit on laps and would love to find that wonderful forever home that the volunteers keep telling her about.  For more information on Sherry, Dale, Ivy and the other great animals available for adoption at Last Hope, check out their website at http://lasthopeanimalrescue.org

And right next door at The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter you can meet two sweethearts named Jamesy and Sookie!

Jamesy (pictured) is the adorable 2 yr old neutered orange and white cat pictured above who was found as a stray, brought to the shelter, and could not be more ready to find his forever home.  Jamesy is described as being super friendly- a total staff favorite! He would also be good for a home with young children which is great for young families so why not head down to the shelter and meet this cutie today!

Now check out this pretty gal named Sookie (pictured).  This sweet gal is a terrier mix just about 2 1/2 years old.  Sookie seems to get along well with cats and certain dogs, but would love to be the queen of a single dog home.  Everyday Sookie dreams of finding her forever family to love and care for her.  Why not give this special girl a new start?

For more information on Jamesy, Sookie and other great animals at the TOH Shelter, visit them today or check them out on the web at http://www.toh.li/animal-shelter.  Additionally, Sookie photo by Lisa Viox Photography: http://www.lisavioxphotography

Thanks so much for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop.
