'Zero Cost' Wheelchair Lift Installed At Marine Corps Nassau Hall

The work was done through the Town of Oyster Bay using federal funding.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Disabled veterans will have easier access at the Marine Corps League Sunrise Detachment in Massapequa.

Using $9,500 in federal funding, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino announced the installation of a wheelchair lift at the New York Avenue location.

The lift is provided at "zero cost" to the residents of the Town and the Marine Corps League, the town said in a release.

Additionally, the lift was built entirely by veterans, as the manufacturer for the project, Bruno, is a Made-in-America veteran-founded company and the installing contractor, Patriot Mobility is a veteran-founded, veteran-operated local business.
