Prosecutors say the victim managed to call 911 before collapsing, while the suspect, who has a reported history of mental illness, was arrested nearby and is due back in court Friday. 
• Suffolk man faces aggravated vehicular homicide charges after work zone crash that killed worker (news12.com) — A Mastic resident, road worker Joel Sicon-Porix, was killed when prosecutors say a drug-impaired driver sped the wrong way through a Suffolk work zone, injuring two coworkers as well. The accused driver now faces aggravated vehicular homicide and other serious charges, with high bail set and a possible lengthy prison term if convicted, underscoring work-zone dangers for Mastic commuters.
