• Woman On E-Scooter Struck By Delivery Truck, Seriously Hurt In Medford: Police (patch.com) — Medford residents are being alerted after a 49-year-old local woman riding an electric scooter was seriously injured when struck by a delivery truck on Lake Drive Tuesday afternoon. She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, and Suffolk County's 6th Squad detectives are investigating, asking anyone with information to call their tip line.
   

• Mathew Barzal backs "ISLANDERS" logo in fans' third-jersey design contest (newsday.com) — A Medford resident, Kelly Breslin, is backing the "ISLANDERS" wordmark design in the team's fan-created third-jersey contest, which has drawn over 80,000 entries. Islanders star Mathew Barzal also favors that look, while other local fans, including Breslin's fiancé from Sound Beach, are pushing for the lighthouse logo. Voting runs through Thursday, with the winning fan design becoming an official future jersey.
