MEDFORD, NY — A 72-year-old Holtsville woman fell after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene in Medford on Friday night, Suffolk police said.
She told officers that she was walking across the intersection of Peconic and Oregon avenues just before 8 p.m., when a white four-door sedan turned into the intersection, and struck her, causing her to fall to the ground, according to police.
The vehicle left the scene, police said.
The woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
