
Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Saturday at a bank in Bayport.
Police say man entered Citibank, located at 835 Montauk Highway, at about 1:50 p.m., approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the demand and gave the suspect cash. The man fled on foot northbound, police said.
The robber is described as white, 35 to 40 years old, approximately 6-foot-2 with a thin build. He was wearing a baseball hat, sunglasses, dark hooded-sweatshirt and blue jeans, police said.
