Medford-based Gershow Recycling has donated three vehicles to the Holtsville Fire Department to help the volunteer practice extrication exercises. During the practice run, held last week, firefighters used the vehicles to rescue a "victim" from a car that was involved in a crash by using the Jaws of Life. The simulated emergency training sessions are a big help in preparing volunteers for how to proceed in the event of a real emergency. Have your own Medford news?
