LI Man Kidnaps Girlfriend, Drives Her To New Jersey And Back: PD
He carried his girlfriend from a room at America's Best Value Inn and "forced her" into a waiting Chevy, cops say.
MEDFORD, NY — A homeless man kidnapped his girlfriend — forcing her into his car and then driving her to New Jersey before he could be convinced by her family to return to Long Island, Suffolk police said.
Suffolk police say they received a 911 call from a woman saying that her grown daughter was being held in a car against her will by her boyfriend on Sunday at about 11:20 p.m. Kenyonne Fleurinay "carried" his 20-year-old girlfriend from a room at America’s Best Value Inn in Smithtown, and "forced her into a 2020 Chevrolet Impala waiting in the parking lot," said police, adding that he then drove to a gas station in Melville where the woman attempted to escape the car, but failed.
Fleurinay left the location and drove to New Jersey before being convinced to return to Suffolk by the her family, police said.

The Impala was spotted by a 6th Precinct Patrol officer on the eastbound Long Island Expressway near exit 65 and he was stopped by officers on Middle Island Road, near Horseblock Road, in Medford, where he surrendered without incident just before 3 a.m. on Monday, according to police.
The woman, who is not being identified, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.

Fleurinay, 23, who is homeless, was charged with second-degree kidnapping, and is being held overnight at the 4th Precinct in Hauppauge. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
