Man Shot Outside Suffolk County Nightclub

A 26-year-old man was shot outside a North Patchogue nightclub Saturday morning, police said.

According to police, Jesse Durham, of Mastic, was standing outside the V.I.P. Lounge located at 620 Waverly Ave. around 4:05 a.m. when he was shot in the leg.

Durham was transported by a private vehicle to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

It's the second shooting outside the V.I.P. Lounge this year. In May, a 30-year-old rapper was shot in the stomach after he performed at the club.
