
A man robbed a Shirley bank on Sunday afternoon.
Police say a man entered TD Bank, located at 530 William Floyd Parkway, handed a teller a note that stated he had a gun and demanded money. The teller complied with the man’s demands and gave him money from the drawer at 12:30 p.m.
The man, who was described as white, in his early 50s with salt-and-pepper-colored hair, fled the bank on foot, northbound through the parking lot.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
Other recent bank robberies in Shirley, Center Moriches and Mastic have been committed by a man with a similar description, but police did not say if they believe Sunday’s robbery is connected to any others.
