3 Hurt, 1 Seriously, in Copiague Crash
A 57-year-old man was seriously injured in Thursday morning crash.

A 57-year-old Copiague man was seriously injured in a crash that occurred as he was turning out of his apartment complex in Copiague early Thursday morning, police said.
Two other people, including a 5-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.
According to police, William Brelsford was driving a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, making a left out of Cassata Drive to go north on New Highway, when his vehicle was struck by a southbound 2007 GMC Acadia shortly before 6 a.m.

Brelsford, who lives in the Nu Horizons Manor complex, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the GMC, 38-year-old Deborah Jones of Copiague, and her 5-year-old daughter were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
