Police: E. Patchogue Man Charged in Stabbing at Funeral Home

A Patchogue man was arrested following a stabbing at St. James Funeral Home Monday night, police said.

According to police, a 911 call came in at 7:53 p.m from the funeral home located at 829 Middle Country Road.

A man was found stabbed and transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Rafael Rojas, 37, of East Patchogue, was arrested and charged with assault in the stabbing. The incident does not appear to be gang-related, police said. Police did not release a possible motive for the stabbing.
