Suffolk Federal’s President & CEO William J. O’Brien was recently honored by Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation at its 2016 Scholarship Gala Stars for Students.
Since 2008, Suffolk Federal has proudly supported Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation—specifically the Holy Angels Regional School in Patchogue—through its Adopt-A-School program. In 2016, Suffolk Federal has committed to a contribution over the next three years of $50,000.
Along with the support of Suffolk Federal, O’Brien is also being recognized on a personal level as a STAR supporter. The Student Tuition Assistance Relationship (STAR) Program identifies students in need of tuition assistance and matches the student with a general donor—a ‘star’ who contributes to that students tuition. The STAR sponsors receive progress reports, cards and letters from their student.

“Corporate sponsorships are essential to sustaining our mission at Tomorrow's Hope Foundation,” said Katie Bill, Director of Development, Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation. “By offering scholarships to students in need, we help ensure the excellence as well as the continuance of our Catholic elementary schools on Long Island, which are so vital to the community as a whole. That is why we created our Adopt-A-School Program: to give corporations the opportunity to partner with schools in their communities. We are deeply grateful to William O’Brien and Suffolk Federal for continuing to contribute so generously to our crucial program. By partnering with Holy Angels School in Patchogue, they are helping us to prepare the next generation of Long Island leaders!”
