Tractor Trailer Crashes Into Median On Long Island Expressway

MEDFORD, NY — A tractor trailer was involved in a single-vehicle crash, striking the median in the eastbound lane near Exit 64 on the Long Island Expressway in Medford early Monday morning, Suffolk police said.

The crash was called into 911 at about 6:30 a.m., according to police, and two lanes were closed on the expressway for about 20 minutes, snarling traffic. No serious injuries were reported, a police spokeswoman said.

The crash is under investigation by Suffolk police, according to the Medford Fire Department.
