Woman Ejected From Car in Crash on William Floyd Parkway

The 22-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in crash early Wednesday. A cop pulled her away from her burning vehicle.

YAPHANK, NY - A 22-year-old North Patchogue woman was seriously injured after being ejected from her car in a crash on the William Floyd Parkway in Yaphank early Wednesday, police said.

According to police, Taylor Young was heading south on the parkway near Longwood Road when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the woods at 2:38 am.

The vehicle burst into flames right near Young and she suffered serious burns and other injuries, police said.

A Suffolk County Police lieutenant was the first to arrive at the scene and he pulled Taylor away from the flames.

Taylor was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
