• Medina to host Walk to end Alzheimer's on Oct. 10 (orleanshub.com) — Medina residents can join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at State Street Park on Oct. 10, with registration starting at 9 a.m. Local bakeries and volunteers are raising money through elephant-link chains and a creative basket raffle, with all proceeds going directly to Alzheimer’s research and awareness efforts rooted in one Medina family’s experience. 
• ‘Pumpkinpalooza' returns with Oct. 10 event at Fairgrounds during Scarecrow Fest (orleanshub.com) — Families around Medina can get creative at Pumpkinpalooza on Oct. 10, held during the Medina Lions Club Scarecrow Festival at the Orleans County 4-H Fairgrounds. With pumpkin contests, free kids’ pumpkin painting, and scarecrow building, organizers hope to draw a big turnout for this indoor, rain-or-shine fall celebration.
