The project, on the Huntington Quadrangle site, still needs state and local approvals and an environmental review, and town officials say they’ll work closely with the system on a Melville Town Center fit. 
• HIA-LI trade show attracts crowds despite digital era (longislandpress.com) — Long Island business leaders say Hauppauge’s Innovation Park is becoming as central as Melville for companies, as nearly 2,000 people packed the HIA-LI trade show in Brentwood. Speakers highlighted strong local employment, housing pressures, and steady deal flow for Melville-based Advantage Title despite high interest rates.
• First class of air traffic controllers trained on simulators in Queens graduates from Vaughn College (cbsnews.com) — A Melville resident, Yanni Agrotis, is among nine new air traffic controllers who just finished simulator-based training at Vaughn College in Queens, part of a federal effort to ease controller shortages. The program lets trainees stay closer to home instead of traveling to Oklahoma, and Vaughn hopes to expand its next class this fall.
