Bellmore-Merrick Middle Schools Named One Of New York's Best

Long Island schools make up nearly half of the 2017 rankings, which was recently released by Niche.com.

Merrick Avenue and Grand Avenue middle schools made the list of 2017’s top 100 middle schools in New York by Niche.com.

Niche.com recently released national and state rankings of public middle schools across the country.
Unlike the recently released public elementary school rankings, the middle schools listed are more evenly divided up between Nassau and Suffolk counties. Overall, more elementary schools on Long Island were recognized. (see the middle school rankings below)

Jericho Middle School was ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 1 in New York. The nation’s top middle school was found to be Terman Middle School in Palo Alto, CA.

This ranking assessed 15,412 public middle schools in the U.S. and analyzed them based on academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and parents on Niche.com.
